🤯Last week, I had the joy of running my first ever animation workshop for children — and honestly, I’m still amazed. These kids (aged 6 to 11) managed to pick up in three hours what we spent three months learning during the Certificate in 2D/3D Animation.
We worked completely offline — scissors, glue sticks, pencils, and tons of coloured paper. No computers, just their phones and my improvised montage table (with a glass top I brought from home!). And yet, they totally understood the core of animation: character, storytelling, movement, mood.

Each child:
🧠 Imagined a simple character and a world
🎨 Created everything with their hands — and truly enjoyed the process
📸 Used a phone to animate their own scene

💥The process of designing this workshop was an adventure too — making it fun, hands-on, and bilingual (EN/UA). And it worked! The kids totally got the concept of animation – how still images come to life, how to build scenes, and how to express ideas with simple tools.
They surprised me, inspired me, and made me laugh a lot. I’m so grateful for this experience — and already dreaming about the next one ✨

Big thanks to:
